Why did you join the military? I wanted to do something related to aviation and serve my country.
Previous sports: Ice Hockey and Soccer
How did you get started in cycling? I was aware of cycling early in life as my older sister was on the national track team, but I didn’t really get involved until after I missed the cut for the Air Force Academy Ice Hockey team and joined the cycling club.
Most memorable race and/or experience in cycling: The entire experience of my first Military World Championship (CISM) and racing in Europe.
Most memorable experience in the military: Not being able to get into the dorm the morning of Sept 11, 2001 because I didn't have my ID after gym class and all the aftermath that followed changing everyone’s military experiences forever.
