- Showers will be provided so you can clean up and enjoy the fest!
- Drinks and food will be on sale at the fest booths - none will be provided free of charge to cyclists so plan ahead please.
- The two kids races (10-13, 14-16) are just for fun and to introduce kids to bike racing. For each race boys & girls, Germans and Americans, will race all together in one big category. Any type of bike is allowed but a helmet is mandatory.
Awards will be presented to the top three in each category.
There will be a drawing for a Flyte SRS-3 frame/fork package. You must preregister by 2 August to be eligible for this drawing.
Eligibility: ID-card holders assigned to a U.S. installation in Europe or TDY to Europe for 30 days or more. Please inquire about specific eligibility rules if you need clarification.
Helmets are mandatory! Time trial bars and mountain bikes are not permitted for safety reasons.

Men's Open
Men's Senior (Birth years 1967-1976)
Men's Masters (Birth year 1966 and earlier)
Women's Open
Men who are eligible for either the Senior or Masters category may compete in their age category or the open, but not both. Once you choose a category for the series, you must race in that category for all future events.
Schedule:
1400: VIP race to kick off the day's events, 2 laps
1415: German-American kids race (for beginners without license) - ages 10-13 and ages 14-16, 2 laps
1430: Men's Open and Men's Senior, 30 laps = 42km, 6 point laps
1545: Women and Men's Master, 20 laps = 28km, 4 point laps
Following the USFE events will be German racing. Plan to stay and enjoy the fest! At 1715 will be a women's and junior (under-19) race and at 1845 will be a men's class B & C race.
Points Race:
These events will be run as point races. Every five laps, participants will sprint for the finish line with the first four across the line receiving points (5, 3, 2, 1 points). The one with the most points at the end is the winner (not necessarily the first one across the line at the end of the race). Rules will be further explained and clarified on-site!
Location: This race is held in conjunction with a town fest in the town of Dansenberg. German races will follow these USFE events.
- Exit 15 from Autobahn 6 direction "OPEL"/B270
- Continue on B270 past Vogelweh
- Mile 1.6 (2.6km) turn left (there is no direction sign but on the right is the yellow town sign for "Kaiserslautern Stadtteil Hohenecken"
- Mile 1.8 (2.9km) follow the priority road to the left, direction "Zentrum" under the bridge
- Mile 3.4 (5.5km) turn right direction "Dansenberg"
- Mile 5.3 (8.6km) turn left direction "KL-Dansenberg"
- Mile 5.7 (9.2km) enter Dansenberg
- The town of Dansenberg is small and if you drive straight ahead you will run into the cycling course. The start and finish is at the Grundschule (primary school).
Lodging: On-base lodging (at Vogelweh) has been reserved the nights of 4 & 5 August, but reservations must be made NLT 21 Jul 06 at 1500 . Thirty rooms have been reserved for this event on a first-come basis. The cost of a room is $32 per night and includes your spouse - children are not permitted in these rooms. For a reservation, send an email to debra.ponzio@sembach.af.mil with the following info: first name, last name, grade/rank, unit/org, zip code, last four of SSAN, credit card number and expiration date, and which nights you'd like to reserve (4 and 5 Aug are possible).
