Race Report: La Primavera @ Lago Vista

Holly Borowski placed 13th and the men got Ken Young into 9th.

Considering this a training race, our intent was to try out many of the things we practiced during the week, in a competitive setting.

In the women's event, Holly Borowski was our only woman so she had to race with no team support. She was forced to cover nearly every attack but, in the end, still managed to place 13th.

The men's race was an 80-mile event with about half of the hundred or so starters dropping out. The team worked hard with everyone taking a turn to cover early race attacks. In the end, they managed to place Ken Young in 9th. Ian Holt followed in 21st with the remainder of the team rolling across the line in the top 40. It turned out to be a good first race for teammates to get used to working and communicating with each other.

This race closed our spring training camp and the team will depart Randolph AFB tomorrow, returning to home stations and military jobs!
