Armed Forces Cycling Team Spring Training Camp - Day 1
25 February 2008

The 2008 Armed Forces Cycling team met today for the kickoff of its week long training camp at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX.
The team was met with great hospitality from the Randolph Services Staff. The record warm temperatures and breezy conditions are a great change for most who have been toiling away for months on indoor trainers or in cold temperatures and darkness.   Needless to say, motivation was high as all set out for what has affectionately become known as a "Texas 70 miler", which translates to about 90 miles for those from other parts of the country.  The group worked primarily on pacelining skills, a few leadouts, and doing bottle exchanges from the follow car, along with catching up with old friends and new teammates.
